£64 million Euromillions prize - less than a week for you to claim it!



The humungous £64 million Euromillions Jackpot is still to be claimed by a Stevenage and Hitchin winner. The winning ticket was bought in the Stevenage and Hitchin area, and the ticket holder matched the five main numbers and two Lucky Star numbers to hit the jackpot.

The winning EuroMillions numbers on Friday 8th June were 5, 11, 22, 34, 40 and the Lucky Star numbers were 9 and 11. The lucky ticket-holder has until 11pm on Wednesday 5 December 2012 to make a claim.

Unclaimed Prizes Records, Facts and Figures:


  • The biggest unclaimed UK National Lottery prize to date is a £9.5 million prize in 2005, bought from Doncaster City Centre. 
  • The world record for the highest unclaimed prize is US $31 million (£19 million) unclaimed Megamillions Jackpot ticket was bought in New York in 2006 (though it expeired in January 2007). 
  • For the National Lottery players have 180 days to claim their winnings from the draw date. 
  • If the prize goes unclaimed,  the prize money goes to good cayses via the National Lottery Distribution Fund. 
  • Interest in unclaimed prizes also goes to the National Lottery Distribution Fund for allocation to good causes. 
  •  Unclaimed prizes for the 2010 financial year amounted to 1.5% of sales (c 3% of prizes) and totalled £83.1m (2009: £78.3m).
